Made to Measure Farm Building Roller Shutters in Holsworthy
Farm buildings are often in remote locations and so can benefit from effective security. That's why many agricultural buildings have roller shutters installed to them.
Over the last thirty-five years of making and fitting roller shutters we have fitted out many farm buildings and storage buildings. Holsworthy Farm in Devon is no exception.
When asked to install cost-effective roller shutters to multiple openings it was an easy decision to fit our galvanised steel shutters. The shutters we fitted in Holsworthy were manual chain-operated shutters. These shutters are cost effective and perfect for a building with no power.
Farm buildings are typically big and need big doors for animals, materials and machines to move through. At the same time these buildings are often quite remote and don't always have an electrical connection.
A large roller door like those on farm buildings would normally be powered by a strong, industrial-sized motor. But when this is not possible, a chain-hoisted roller shutter is the answer.

Considerations farm-building roller shutters
Farm buildings typically see a lot of traffic going through their doors: machines, trucks, materials, animals, workers, and more. In practise this means roller shutters on agricultural buildings see a lot of use.
Also, with this much activity, it's almost inevitable for something to bump into the roller shutter at some point. So this is why it's important that farm building roller shutters are not only durable and sturdy, but also easy to maintain.
And, like we already mentioned, the openings on farm buildings are typically big. So a roller door for such a structure needs to be large.
For these reasons a heavy-duty, galvanised steel roller shutter is usually the preferred option for a farm building roller shutter.
