Metal Roller Shutters Plastexe Exeter
Having recently fitted one of our metal roller shutters to their main Unit based on Marsh Barton Industrial Estate in Exeter, Plastexe recently expanded to the unit next door and needed security shutters there too.
Project requirements
The task this time around was to Supply and Install our Screenguard Security Shutters. With a colour match to the guides and canopy in keeping with the cladding. Our Screenguard roller shutter was ideal for this project.
We also provided additional steel angles to secure the shutter properly through the building's cladding.

Why choose metal security roller shutters?
The Screenguard is a metal security roller shutter uses a galvanised steel curtain with a steel box and angled guides. It’s very popular because it is simple, affordable and strong. The 75mm curved steel laths, are available in 22G (0.7mm) or 20G (0.9mm) depending on the size of the roller shutter and the security level you require. Next to the solid screenguard laths, we also offer a version with perforated lath (called Viewguard, because it becomes semi-transparent when lit from one side).
Screenguard metal security roller shutter are normally electrically operated. The shutter’s motor gets fitted inside the barrel (a tubular motor),and this drives the shutter up and down electronically.
As standard the shutter’s metal parts are galvanised to give them long-lasting protection against rust. In addition the shutters can also be powder coated to a RAL colour of your choice to match your existing colours.
Screenguard roller shutters, with their simple, robust and flexible design offer a broad spectrum of applications. They are cost-effectiveness, robust and straightforward to install in both new and existing constructions.
